Fair Oaks, a village located on the American River bluffs in Sacramento County, California, invites your participation in its second annual Chicken Festival. We believe this unique festival will become a destination and a much anticipated family event for all who live in the Sacramento Metropolitan area and beyond.

The Third Annual Fair Oaks Chicken Festival will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, in the Village of Fair Oaks. The festivities will begin with a Friday evening kick-off chicken barbeque on the 19th followed by a full day of events on Saturday, September 20th. All events will be held in the Plaza Park, Village Park, the Village proper, or the Veterans Memorial Amphitheatre. We will have supervised children's activities, a juried craft fair, food and beverage vendors, live music, beer tasting, cooking demonstrations and wine pairings by local chefs and foothill wineries, and much more. All events are designed to encourage families and people of all ages to join in the fun.

We are actively seeking monetary and in-kind sponsorships for the Festival and would welcome your generous support.

There will be no general admission fee for this event. Any funds raised in excess of those minimally necessary for putting on the festival and preparing for the following year's festival will be given to charitable, community and civic causes. Sponsors will, of course, be recognized as noted on the sponsorship level information sheet.
